I’m super excited to share the eco & vegan-friendly items featured in Love Goodly‘s August/September beauty & lifestyle box. It’s their One Year Anniversary Box (EeeEee, congrats, BAE!!!), so you know it’s loaded with all kinds of awesomeness. If you’re new to Love Goodly, it’s a beautifully curated subscription box that delivers 4-5 cruelty-free, natural, and vegan full size products ranging from non-toxic beauty and skincare, healthy snacks, and eco style accessories. You can peep my previous reviews here.
Cost: It’s $29.95 bi-monthly (every other month) with price breaks for longer subscriptions. Coupon code VBR5 saves you $5 off any box, too! Icing on the cake → each purchase supports a cause/charity, so it’s a win-win!
The August/September Love Goodly Box includes 5 items:
Durrah Jewellery Love Goodly Necklace, $40 – Ok, this value of this is more than the box itself and then some! What better way to celebrate an anniversary than with jewelry – WOOT! This gorgeous rose gold heart pendant (not just any heart – Love Goodly’s logo!), is made out of recycled base metals. It’s such a stunning piece, and I don’t know if you guys know this about me, but I’m obsessed with anything and everything hearts! ♥
LOVE GOODLY x Hurraw! Lip Balm in Choco Mint, $4.29 – I have reviewed a TON of vegan lip balms on VBR over the years, and Hurraw lip balm, especially their tinted cherry flavor is probably my all-time fave. This is an exclusive Love Goodly flavor, and holy ballz, it is exquisite! It smells and tastes delicious – like mint chocolate chip ice cream, no joke!
Little Barn Apothecary Charcoal + Aloe Cleanser, $22 – Activated charcoal has got to be this year’s VIP ingredient (sorry, coconut oil). Every company I can think of is coming out with charcoal goodies left and right. If you’re not familiar with activated charcoal, it has the ability to draw out toxins and pollutants like no other (great for preventing breakouts!). This foaming facial cleanser also has soothing aloe aloe and antibacterial basil essential oil. It’s gentle, it leaves my skin feeling refreshed, and it has a wonderful herby and earthy scent.
Orglamix Chill Pill Essential Oil Rollerball Aromatherapy, $18 – Ha, I’ve been receiving lots of “chill” aromatherapy blends in monthly boxes lately… I think the universe is trying to tell me something. 😉 This particular blend from is made with sweet basil, rosemary, laurel, ravensara, peppermint, ginger, eucalyptus, and lemon essential oils to help tension and tightness melt away. It definitely has a calming scent to it, and I love that it’s a skinny roller ball that fits beautifully inside my purse. These days, I always keep essential oil blends with me as a form of self care. Chill Pill definitely seems like a good one to keep around. 😉
Yuni Shower Sheets, $3 – I love that these shower sheets are alcohol-free and and are made with peppermint, neem, and citrus essential oils. I have a baby/mama yoga class that I’m going to today, and ya betta believe I’m takin’ these with. I’ll keep you posted as to how they perform, but I can already tell I’m going to be a fan due to the peppermint factor alone. 🙂
Also included, on the back of the info card, is a Forks Over Knives Raw Chocolate Caramel Dip recipe from Darshana Thacker – SO excited to try this (especially since I’ve been cutting out processed sugars from my diet lately)!
Overall impression: This box has insane value – around $90 worth of goodies for $30 (DANG!). I loved the variety in this box, and as always, every single item was exciting and fun. Faves of mine include the the Orglamix roller ball essential oil blend, rose gold heart necklace, Hurraw choco mint lip balms, LBA charcoal cleanser, and YUNI shower sheets… oh shoot, I literally named everything! I swear, this month’s box was a total hit, probably one of my favs!
